Arpeggio by Nespresso
Arpeggio by Nespresso is a well-done intense espresso with a lot of character. Its aroma successfully balances dark-roast bitterness, fruity acidity and caramel sweetness. The taste is dominated by bitterness mellowed by and sour cherries, passion fruit and creamy sweetness.
Arpeggio has an intense and balanced aroma that is pleasant yet heavier. Its robust roasting is coming through with the bitter tones that are mellowed by the acidity of sour cherries and the sweetness of caramel. Notes of dark chocolate, almonds and tropical spices further enrich this characterful espresso.
The taste of Arpeggio is also intensely pleasant, showcasing the dark roasting from the first sip. The tall crema is responsible for the initial creamy mouthfeel followed by the acidity of sour cherries and passion fruit. This acidity later changes into a short-lived almond sweetness. At the end comes intense herbal bitterness which continues into the aftertaste.
The extraction is flawless and produces beautifully rich crema.
The Arpeggio capsules come in the typical sleek Nespresso box. They are made of aluminium and are thus fully recyclable. To do so, you can either use the Nespresso recycling scheme or collect the emptied capsules with other metal refuse. Nespresso presents Arpeggio as full-bodied coffee with notes of cocoa and dark roasting. The intensity rating is 9 out of 12.
Arpeggio by Nespresso contains a blend of darkly roasted Arabica beans from Central and South America. It produces a characterful and intense espresso best suited for occasions when you want a cup of well-done bitter coffee. Arpeggio is thus similar to such offerings as Forza by L’Or Espresso, Intense by Velours Noire, or Noir by Jones Brothers.
